Rules for the Processing of Personal Data

These Rules for the Processing of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the Rules) establish the principles and procedures for the processing and protection of personal data, according to which the Company, as a personal data controller, processes the personal data of data subjects.

DEFINITIONS

1.1. Personal Data – Any information specified in these Rules that is directly or indirectly related to a data subject.

1.2. Data Subject/Personal Data Subject – Any individual who:
(i) Uses or has used the Company’s website monkevicius.com;
(ii) Orders, purchases, or has used any services provided by the Company or its lecturers;
(iii) Seeks to participate in an event organized by the Organizer (e.g., by registering for a live broadcast);
(iv) Is or was a Participant.

1.4. Ticket – A document, including an electronic one, confirming the purchase-sale agreement between the Organizer and the Participant, granting the right to attend and participate in a specific event.

1.5. Participant – An adult who purchases a Ticket for purposes related to their business, work, profession, or craft (except when the event’s theme clearly indicates a personal purpose), pays the required fee, and acquires the right to participate in the event.

1.6. Event – An event organized and conducted by the Organizer, as specified in the Ticket, which the Participant has the right to attend.

1.7. Profiling – Any form of automated processing of personal data where personal data is used to evaluate certain personal aspects related to a natural person, particularly to analyze or predict work performance, economic situation, health status, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behavior, location, or movement.

1.8. Processing – Any action or sequence of actions performed on personal data, whether automated or manual, including collection, recording, storage, classification, modification (updating or correction), granting access, querying, transfer, publication, use, search, dissemination, or any other operation. The term “processing” in these Rules holds the same meaning as “Processing” as defined above.


GENERAL PROVISIONS

2.1. The Company processes personal data in accordance with the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the ADTAI) and other relevant Lithuanian and European Union regulations governing personal data protection, as well as applicable requirements and instructions issued by competent authorities.

2.2. From November 20, 2024, the Company also processes personal data in accordance with the directly applicable Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council (GDPR), which ensures the protection of personal data and the free movement of such data.

2.3. The purpose of these Rules is to ensure the protection of personal data, establish fundamental principles for data processing, explain to the Data Subject the principles and procedures followed by the Company when processing their personal data, and inform them about how, for what purposes, and on what legal basis their personal data is processed, as well as the rights they have and how they can exercise them.

2.4. The Personal Data Controller declares that the processing of personal data according to the principles outlined in these Rules is necessary for the Company to conduct its activities properly, enter into and fulfill related civil agreements, ensure the effectiveness, quality, and compliance of the provided services, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both the Data Subjects and the Company.

2.5. The Personal Data Controller processes personal data only for lawful and defined purposes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and fairness, while limiting the processing to the necessary scope and avoiding excessive data collection. Data is periodically reviewed and updated, ensuring adequate security.


CONSENT TO THE PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING RULES

3.1. Before performing any actions described in Section 1.2, the Company provides the Data Subject the opportunity to review these Rules via a link “Personal Data Processing Rules” on the monkevicius.com homepage, leading them to the publicly available document.

3.3. After reviewing the Rules, the Data Subject is given the option to check a box next to “Personal Data Processing Rules”, thereby actively confirming their consent to the processing of their personal data as described in Section 6.1 (Table A) of these Rules.

3.4. If the Data Subject does not agree with the processing of their personal data, they will not be able to:
(i) Use the Company’s website monkevicius.com;
(ii) Order, purchase, or use any services provided by the Company or its lecturers;
(iii) Participate in any event organized by the Organizer;
(iv) Purchase a Ticket.

3.5. When the Data Subject continues to use the website monkevicius.com, their data is processed according to the Rules using Cookies while minimizing personally identifiable information.

3.6. Separate consent must be given for the processing of personal data for direct marketing or advertising purposes, which can be selected in forms related to events or ticket purchases.


DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

4.1. The Data Subject has the right to:

  • Obtain information about whether their personal data is processed and to access their stored data.
  • Request corrections for inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated data.
  • Withdraw their consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • Request deletion of personal data (“right to be forgotten”), except in cases where processing is legally required.
  • Object to data processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • Transfer their personal data to another service provider.
  • File a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate if they believe their data protection rights have been violated.
